KAMINSKY
“Success is almost totally dependent upon drive and persistence. The extra energy required to make another effort or try another approach is the secret of winning.” This quote, by Denis Waitley, is one that Ella Kaminsky finds to be very important in her life. She believes that success isn't about innate talent or luck, but rather the ability to keep pushing forward despite setbacks. For Ella, every failure is just another opportunity to learn, adapt, and refine her approach.
My Story
The beginning of middle school is when Ella was opened up to that rewarding feeling of overcoming a fear. She had spent the entire summer worrying about starting at a new school, but felt so accomplished at the end of the year after seeing how far she had come after navigating so many ups and downs. Since then, Ella has realized the importance of taking initiative and stepping out of her comfort zone in order to grow and accomplish many things. She realized that she had to put herself out there, ready to make mistakes and improve from them.
She is now Co-President of the Youth Philanthropy Council where she works towards helping children and families in her community, an assistant at the Czech School San Diego where she organizes events and participates in cultural activities for Czech American kids, and has worked a seasonal job as a tour guide at the Czech castle Konopiste giving tours in Czech and English. She has also recently taken on the role of setting up and officiating the Kaminsky Family Foundation.
Ella has learned and grown so much from these experiences, and hopes to continue her journey as a leader and entrepreneur in the business world. She would be so fortunate to have the opportunity to attend university where she can learn even more about business and becoming a successful leader.
